Frequently asked questions

Simple answers about watch service

We most often deal with three topics: how to send a watch, how the service process works and why battery replacement also includes water resistance and gasket checks.

Quick answer

We determine the price only after diagnostics

Only diagnostics reveal the fault, the scope of work and whether spare parts will be needed.

Rýchla odpoveď

We recommend full service every 3 to 4 years

The interval depends on the watch type, condition and how it is used.

Rýchla odpoveď

When replacing a battery, we also replace the gasket

It matters for water resistance, reliability and a meaningful guarantee on the result.

Sending a watch

What happens when you send us a watch

If you do not send watches regularly, just follow a simple process. We will guide you through the rest after delivery.

I want to send a watch. What should I do?

The watch should be packed well in bubble wrap and sent by registered mail. We definitely recommend insuring the parcel.

If you want the exact step-by-step process, we prepared a separate guide on the How to send a watch page.

I sent you my watch. What happens next?

For every repair, we carry out prescribed service operations including diagnostics, restored water resistance, polishing and ultrasonic cleaning of the case and bracelet.

Watch service

Diagnostics, pricing and recommended interval

Most questions revolve around the price and when service is really necessary.

How much does watch service cost?

Every watch service begins with diagnostics, which determine the fault and required spare parts. Only based on that can we determine the exact price, which we always communicate before the repair begins.

How often should a watch be serviced?

A watch is a delicate and precise machine. The need for service depends on use, environment and watch type. In general, we recommend full service every 3 to 4 years.

Battery replacement and gaskets

Why we look at more than just the battery

With branded watches, it is not only about a new battery but about making sure the watch keeps working reliably afterwards.

What is included in an "ordinary" battery replacement?

With quality branded watches, replacing only the battery is not enough. It includes:

Why is diagnostics needed when replacing the battery?

Watches wear out and lubricants age over time. Diagnostics show whether a battery replacement is enough or whether full service is already needed, so the new battery does not last only a short time.

Why do you replace the gasket when replacing the battery?

Moisture is the biggest enemy of a watch. When replacing the battery, we provide a 1-year water-resistance guarantee, which is why we always fit a new gasket.

I only want a battery replacement, so why do you do so many other things?

The goal is not only to make the watch run again, but to hand it back in a condition that is durable, water-resistant, clean and reliable.

When is gasket replacement necessary?

We replace the gasket every time. It is not possible to reliably determine its age or how long it will still last. With a new gasket, we can guarantee quality and the water-resistance warranty.

What water-resistance test do you perform?

For watches with water resistance up to 100 m, we perform a dry test. Watches with water resistance of 100 m and above are also tested using a wet method.
